David Flacks

About David

David has a number of governance roles and is also a leading corporate lawyer with boutique corporate law firm Flacks & Wong. He was previously a senior corporate partner of Bell Gully and was general counsel and company secretary of Carter Holt Harvey during the 1990’s.

David is chair of listed AFT Pharmaceuticals Limited and director of a number of other organisations across a range of sectors, including pro bono directorships in the environment sector.

He is a former member of the Takeovers Panel and chair of the NZ Markets Disciplinary Tribunal and NZX Regulatory Governance Committee.

David joined the board of Vero Insurance New Zealand and Vero Liability in 2013 and Asteron Life New Zealand in 2015 and became chair in 2019.
