About Rob

Rob’s finance career spanned over 30 years, including periods in industry and chartered accounting as well stints working in Australia, UK, and South Africa. Rob was the Chief Financial Officer of Air New Zealand for 14 years retiring in 2018.

Rob is Chairman of Contact Energy Limited and is a director of FleetPartners Group Limited. He is a Council member of the University of Auckland. 

He is a former Board member of Fletcher Building Limited, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, the Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand Inc., and AIA Limited, and the former Vice Chairman of the IATA Financial Committee. 

Rob has a Bachelor of Commerce from Auckland University and in 1999 completed the Program of Management Development at Harvard Business School. He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
