Taking and mitigating business risk

The From Risk to Reward research showed that New Zealand businesses tend to take a conservative approach to risk, and do not feel confident making good risk decisions.
Scientist and entrepreneur Sir Ray Avery disagrees, saying that risk is not part of the Kiwi make-up. “We have belief that we can – we can dare to dream and be anybody you like in New Zealand.”
If we don’t like rules, have no respect for the status quo, dare to dream and will give anything ago – are we ignoring risks or taking them?
