Suncorp shortlisted for Young Insurance Professionals Employer of the Year Award

Suncorp New Zealand has been named as a finalist for the Young Insurance Professional Employer of the Year Award at the 2018 ANZIIF New Zealand Insurance Industry Awards.
The Young Insurance Professional Employer award recognises organisations that demonstrate a commitment to the employment and development of young insurance and finance professionals.
“Being named as a finalist for Young Insurance Professionals Employer of the Year is a significant achievement for Suncorp as an employer in New Zealand, as it’s the first time that we’ve entered this award category,” said Suncorp New Zealand CEO Paul Smeaton.
“It’s a testament to our ongoing work to make Suncorp a diverse and inclusive place to work.”
Suncorp’s intermediated brands have also been named finalist in their categories. Asteron Life is a finalist for Life Insurance Company of the Year, and Vero is a finalist for Intermediated Insurer of the Year.
The Life and Intermediated Insurer awards recognise companies that have demonstrated strong performance, responded to market changes and provided outstanding service for their customers and intermediaries.
AA Insurance, a joint venture with the New Zealand Automobile Association, has been shortlisted for Direct Insurance Company of the Year, Insurance Learning Programme of the Year and Women’s Employer of the Year.
Suncorp New Zealand’s Executive Manager of Technical Pricing and Reinsurance, Mat Jensen, has been named a finalist for the Young Professional of the Year Award.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Auckland on 29 November 2018.
