Suncorp New Zealand appoints Craig Lauchlan as EGM Technology

Suncorp New Zealand announced the appointment of Craig Lauchlan as EGM NZ Technology, who will join the team in December.

Craig will join Suncorp New Zealand from his current role as Suncorp Group’s Executive Transition Director in Australia, where he has played a key role in the successful transition of Suncorp Bank to ANZ. Craig brings extensive senior leadership experience in the financial services markets having previously held roles in BNZ, CBA, NAB and AGL (Energy) and his expertise extends across technology, business, transformation, and mergers and acquisitions.

Suncorp New Zealand CEO Jimmy Higgins says Craig is relocating home to New Zealand and the organisation is fortunate to have someone of his calibre joining the team.

“Transforming our business to improve the way we operate and meet our customer, people, and partner needs is critical to our success going forward. Craig brings a significant depth of experience bringing together people and technology to uplift capability and create great outcomes.”

Mark Atherton has been acting in the role and will continue to do so until Lauchlan joins the team, and will then return to his role of Executive Manager, Infrastructure & Operations.
