Suncorp New Zealand welcomes Government announcement to speed up EQC handling of remaining Canterbury earthquake claims
23 February 2018
Suncorp New Zealand today welcomed the announcement by the Government to appoint an independent Ministerial advisor to help speed up the remaining Canterbury earthquake claims.
Jimmy Higgins, Executive General Manager of Claims at Suncorp New Zealand, which includes Vero and AA Insurance (a joint venture with the New Zealand Automobile Association), said he supported any moves to speed up the process for customers who are still waiting for their claims to be resolved.
“We have been working proactively with customers who still have unresolved EQC claims and we welcome any opportunity to see these expedited and resolved quickly,” said Mr Higgins.
“We look forward to working constructively with the independent Ministerial advisor once an appointment is made.”
